Night Visit to General Qi’s Army, as an activity of Jiaoshan Great Wall Lighting Ceremony held by Zhejiang Yongchang Ledi Tourism Co., Ltd., kicked off at the Qinhuangdao Jiaoshan Scenic Area at 9:00 pm on July 15th, 2018.
In the gentle evening breeze, the Great Wall is brightly lighted and looks especially fascinating in the fog.
Qi Jiguang, who was leading three thousand Yiwu soldiers, went all the way north while singing in Gaoqiang tune and beating Huatoutai. They walked through “Bloomed Flowers in Spring”, passed “Moon over Guanshan”, broke through “Ten-sized Ambushes”, “Galloped Across the River”, “Broke the Tianmen Battle Formation”, built the dragon head and guarded the Great Wall. A nostalgia feeling that last for six hundred years’ nostalgia is still lingering...... Qi Jiguang was the character that linked the whole scenes of the performance. The performance is featured by decorous and antique performance style, the folk melody of fishermen the vocal music with clear articulation and mellow tune, the graceful dance, the vivid presentation of personality. It told the story of war, brought pleasant experience for the audience and aroused thunderous applause on site.
In order to express the value and connotation of great wall culture in an international mode, Zhejiang-Hebei Cultural Communication Bridge was built to promote cultural and economic cooperation and development. We have invited artists from both sides of the Taiwan Straits, the performers of Zhejiang Wu Opera Troupe and the inheritor of the intangible heritage of the 400-year Pujiang Luantan Melody, the representative of modern five-stringed Pipa Lute and famous domestic signers for the performance.

Wukantou Village in Yiwu is the native place of Wu Weizhong, a famous general fighting against Japanese pirates

In 2016, the company signed contract for exclusive operation of Puy Du Fou in China. We built a non-copyable Chinese cultural center and cultural communication shrine at the foot of Great Wall built and stationed by Yiwu soldiers to tell the Chinese stories to the world.
Chinese stories are about Chinese spirit. “New General Qi’s Army” relies on the new spirit of Zhejiang entrepreneurs, namely, being enduring, diligent, pioneering, strengthening resolution through self-imposed hardship, never to give up, always on the road, keeping updated, being boss in daytime and sleeping on floor at night, daring to make adventure and be the first.

President Zhao Yongqiang and me share the same goal, that is, to create a list of operas that can describe Chinese history and culture. When we were at the foot of the Great Wall, I was deeply impressed. Mr. Zhao Yongqiang gave us a big surprise. This is the place where our dream came true.

This is a special evening. We exhibited Chinese civilization in the east end of the Great Wall and witnessed Chinese traditional culture with our French guests. Great Wall has become a cultural bond that connect the Chinese and western civilization and promote cultural and economic development.

As a citizen of Yiwu, we shall never forget General Qi’s Army that fought bravely on the battlefield to safeguard the peace of the country 400 years ago and shall keep in mind the new spirit of Zhejiang entrepreneurs.
The flag of General Qi’s Army is fluttering at the top of Great Wall. The spirit of Yiwu Soldier represents the spirit of China. 40 years into the reform and opening-up policy, Zhejiang entrepreneurs have become the leader with a progressive, down-to-earth, daring and industrious spirit. The spirit of Zhejiang entrepreneurs is not particular to people of Zhejiang. The new era requires all of us to learn and acquire such spirit so as to ride the tides and blaze new trails.
Friends from France are so excited that they are not willing to leave after the performance. They are looking up at Jiaoshan Great Wall and capture the moment with their cell phone.
In the gentle breeze of the night, the Great Wall is brightly lighted and looks especially fantastic in misty fog. Yongchang Ledi will create another wonder by telling Chinese story to the world at Great Wall of China, which is one of the world’s great wonders.
